The CGS Standing Committees' purposes and functions are established in the inaugural season of the CGS President. The chair person for each committee serves as a member of the Executive Committee at the discretion on the President.
Standing committees are charged to investigate specific issues and create unique programs related to the graduate experience at The Ohio State University.
CGS also appoints a number of graduate students to serve on nearly every policy-making body at The Ohio State University. Appointments are made to committees of the University Senate as well as committees to university-wide committees.
